Outflo is a personal expense tracking application that helps you manage your finances. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how Outflo handles your data.

Information We Collect

Outflo only stores the information you manually enter into the app:

• Expense amounts and currencies
• Expense descriptions (short and detailed)
• Dates of expenses
• Payment methods you create or select
• Expense categories you create or select
• Currency preferences and settings

We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your data on third-party servers or our own servers.

How Your Data Is Stored

Local Storage

• All expense data is stored locally on your device in a database file
• The data remains on your device and is protected by your device's operating system security
• Other apps cannot access your Outflo data due to Android/iOS app sandboxing

Optional Cloud Backup

• You may optionally enable Google Drive backup to save your data to your own Google Drive account
• When enabled, Outflo uploads a copy of your local database to your personal Google Drive's private app folder (Outflo)
• This backup is stored in your own Google account, not on any Outflo servers
• The backup is protected by Google's security measures and can only be accessed by you
• You can disable cloud backup at any time

Authentication

If you choose to use the Google Drive backup feature:

• You will authenticate directly with Google using their secure login page
• Outflo does not collect or store your Google account credentials
• Outflo only receives a temporary access token from Google that allows the app to read and write to your Google Drive's private app folder
• You can revoke Outflo's access to your Google Drive at any time through your Google Account settings

Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or distribute your data to any third parties.

Your expense data:

• Stays on your device
• Is only uploaded to your own Google Drive if you enable that feature
• Is never transmitted to Outflo servers or any third-party analytics services

Data Security

Your data is protected by:

• Your device's operating system security features (app sandboxing)
• Your device's lock screen and authentication (if enabled)
• Google's security measures (if you use Google Drive backup)

On rooted or jailbroken devices, security protections may be compromised.

Your Rights and Control

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: All your data is visible within the app
• Edit: You can modify or delete any expense, category, or payment method
• Export: You can generate PDF reports of your expenses
• Delete: You can uninstall the app to remove all local data
• Backup Control: You can enable or disable Google Drive backup at any time
• Data Portability: Your backup file is stored in standard SQLite format

Data Retention

• Local data: Remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app
• Google Drive backup: Remains in your Google Drive until you delete it
• We do not retain any of your data on our servers

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the app or on our website. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
